Description

Jarrin Foret, a commoner from the hills of Ardennes and once a follower of House Erksine before the flood.

Appearance
Broad-shouldered and muscular from years of labor, Jarrin’s thick, calloused hands tell of both hammer and axe. His dark chestnut hair is tied back with oiled leather, and his deep-set brown eyes, like wet earth after rain, speak of quiet thought. He wears hunting leathers reinforced with scavenged metal, remnants of the tattered cloak of House Erksine draped across his shoulders. The faded sigil remains, forming the base of his new healer’s garb. A jagged burn-scar marks his right forearm from a forge accident before the flood—he keeps it uncovered as a badge of endurance.

Personality
Steadfast, resourceful, and introspective, Jarrin listens more than he speaks, but his words carry weight. He values honest work, loyalty, and the satisfaction of building something that lasts. He talks to his tools as old friends—his bow and staff. He fears deep water and collapsing tunnels, echoes of Gallia’s drowning.

Skills
A craftsman skilled in wood and stone, Jarrin creates tools, weapons, and shelter with equal care. He’s a capable hunter, forager, and field medic, versed in salves and stitching from his years in the wild.

Weapons: a longbow made from the first great tree he felled; an oak staff carved from ancient heartwood and etched with runes representing the past and future united.

Tools: Hatchet, carving knife, miner’s pick, and a simple hammer from his apprentice days.

Motivations
He seeks to build lasting footholds in the new lands so his people never know the hunger of the flood again. Long-term, he dreams of rediscovering the lost ways of using the earth’s tools to heal. Torn between old traditions and new beginnings, he strives to honor both.

Role and Reputation
A dependable scout, craftsman, and healer, Jarrin anchors the party with calm steadiness. Known as Jarrin the Mender, he repairs wounds, tools, and spirits alike.
